复赛 (fù sài) — semifinals; the second round of a competition, between the preliminary round and the finals

Definition

The second round of a tournament, after the preliminary (初赛) and before the final (决赛). In single-elimination brackets it is the semifinal; in other formats it is simply the second stage.
