进修 (jìn xiū) — to undertake advanced studies; to take a refresher course

Definition

进修 means to take a short-term advanced or refresher course, often arranged by an employer. Less ambitious than 深造, which implies pursuing deeper, longer study (e.g. a full degree abroad).
