Definition
下属 (xià shǔ) is a neutral noun for a subordinate or underling in an organization. It is less formal than 下级 (xià jí, 'lower-level'), which is more bureaucratic and often used in official contexts. 所属 (suǒ shǔ) can also mean 'subordinate(s)' but is more formal and often used as an adjective ('affiliated with').
