Definition
下文 has two related uses: (1) the part of a text that comes after the current point ('the following text'), common in academic or formal writing; and (2) a figurative meaning referring to the later development or outcome of a matter, often used in the negative pattern 还没有下文 ('there's been no follow-up yet').
