Definition
不巧 means 'unfortunately' or 'what a shame (that things didn't work out as hoped)'. It's often used at the beginning of a clause, like 'unfortunately, ...' or 'as luck would have it (in a bad way)'. You can also use it as a predicate adjective: 真不巧 ('What a coincidence — in a bad way'). Note: the dictionary glosses 'clumsy' and 'unskilled' are incorrect for 不巧; those meanings belong to different words like 笨拙.
