世人 (shì rén) is a formal, literary noun meaning 'people in the world' or 'the world's people' — it refers to humanity at large, often in a philosophical or observational context. It is more abstract and written than 大家 (everyone, everyday speech) or 众人 (everyone, many people, neutral register). Unlike 各位 (polite address to a group), 世人 is never used to directly address people.
