丝毫 (sī háo) is an adverb used before a negative to mean 'not at all, not in the slightest' — it emphasizes that even the smallest amount is absent. It is stronger and more emphatic than 都 (dōu) in negative statements, and more formal than 根本 (gēn běn) in the same role. Unlike 略 (lüè), which means 'slightly', 丝毫 is always used with a negative.
