Definition

中意 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to be to one's liking' or 'to like'. It has an object-splitting structure (动宾式): 中 (the verb) + 意 (the object). You can insert 了, 过, 不, 没 between the two parts, as in 中了我的意 ('it happened to be what I liked') or 中不中意? ('do you like it or not?').
