丰 (fēng) is a bound form (b.f.) meaning 'abundant, plentiful, bountiful'. It appears as the first element in common compounds like 丰富 (fēngfù, rich), 丰收 (fēngshōu, bumper harvest), and 丰满 (fēngmǎn, plump). In classical texts, it is also the name of a hexagram in the I Ching, but that usage is rare in modern Chinese. As a bound form, 丰 never stands alone; it always attaches to another character.
