乐观 (lè guān) means 'optimistic' — having a positive outlook about the future or a situation. It focuses on expecting good results, unlike 开朗 (kāi lǎng) which describes a cheerful, outgoing personality, and 豁达 (huò dá) which means being broad-minded and not easily upset. 乐观 is the most common word for this concept at this level.
