Definition
人事 (rén shì) can mean 'personnel/HR', but unlike 人员 (rén yuán) or 员工 (yuán gōng), which refer to the people themselves, 人事 often denotes the department or affairs related to staff. It also has two other distinct senses: 'human affairs/ways of the world' and a euphemism for 'sexuality/facts of life'.
