Definition
代价 (dàijià) refers to a figurative price or cost — the effort, loss, or sacrifice required to achieve something. It differs from 价格 (jiàgé) and 价钱 (jiàqian), which mean the literal monetary price of goods. In business contexts, 代价 can also mean 'consideration' in contracts.
