Definition
仿 (fǎng) is a formal, often literary verb meaning 'to imitate, to copy', especially in art, style, or design. It is less common in everyday speech than 模仿 (mófǎng, the general word for imitate), and unlike 仿制 (fǎngzhì, which implies making a physical replica) or 效仿 (xiàofǎng, which means following someone's example), 仿 focuses on the act of copying the appearance or style.
