Definition
伎 is a bound form that only appears in multi-character words. Its modern common meaning is 'trick' or 'scheme' in the compound 伎俩 (jìliǎng). Historically, it also referred to a female singer, dancer, or entertainer, as in 歌伎 (gējì). Do not use it alone; it must be part of a compound.
