Definition
传话 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning to pass on or relay a message. The verb 传 and the noun 话 can be split, with measure words, modifiers, or other elements inserted between them, such as 传个话 ('pass a message') or 传了很多话 ('passed on many messages'). In the unsplit form, it functions as a normal verb-object compound.
