伶 is a bound form (b.f.) that appears in compound words. Its two main senses are 'clever / intelligent', seen in 伶俐 (línglì, 'clever, smart'), and 'performer / actor', seen in 伶人 (língrén, 'actor in ancient times'). It cannot be used as a standalone word; you must combine it with another morpheme.
