Definition
何处 is the classical/literary way to ask 'where' in Chinese — you'll find it in poetry, formal writing, and historical texts, but not in everyday conversation. In modern spoken Chinese, 哪里 (nǎlǐ) or 哪儿 (nǎr) replace it.
