Definition
侵占 (qīn zhàn) means 'to invade and occupy' (territory, rights, etc.), emphasizing both the act of intrusion and the resulting control. It is broader than 入侵 (rù qīn, just invade) and 占领 (zhàn lǐng, just occupy), and less war-focused than 侵略 (qīn lüè, armed aggression). It can also apply to rights, like 侵害 (qīn hài, infringe), but with a stronger sense of takeover.
