Definition
倒闭 (dǎo bì) specifically means a business or company goes bankrupt and permanently closes due to financial failure. It differs from 破产 (pò chǎn), which can also apply to individuals or plans 'falling through,' and from 停业 (tíng yè), which means simply ceasing trade (possibly temporarily) without implying insolvency.
