Definition
倔强 (jué jiàng) describes a person who is stubborn and unyielding, often refusing to yield. It is negative, unlike 顽强 (wán qiáng 'tenacious') and 坚强 (jiān qiáng 'strong-willed'), which are positive. Compared to 固执 (gù zhi) and 顽固 (wán gù), 倔强 emphasizes a willful, defiant stubbornness rather than just being set in one's ways.
