假名 has two unrelated meanings. The first is 'pseudonym' — a false name used to conceal one's identity. The second is a loanword from Japanese referring to the Japanese syllabaries hiragana and katakana, collectively called kana. Note that the Chinese pronunciation (jiǎ míng) differs from the Japanese pronunciation (kana).
