Definition
养伤 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to recuperate from an injury'. The verb 养 ('to nurse/recover') and the object 伤 ('injury') can split when you add duration, measure words, or complements: e.g. 养了三个月的伤 ('recuperated for three months').
