Definition
养育 (yǎng yù) means 'to raise, to bring up' and focuses on the full process of nurturing a child or young animal with care and responsibility. It is broader than 抚养 (fǔ yǎng), which emphasizes financial support, and different from 饲养 (sì yǎng), which is used only for animals. 养育 can also apply to plants with a sense of devoted care.
