Definition
切除 (qiēchú) means 'to surgically remove / excise' and is used only in medical or surgical contexts, such as removing a tumor or organ. It differs from 切割 (qiēgē), which is cutting with a tool (e.g., fabric, metal) — not necessarily medical — and from 去除 (qùchú), which is 'to remove' in a broad, non-surgical sense (e.g., stains, doubts).
