加冕 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to crown'. The verb 加 and the object 冕 can separate when inserting aspect markers (了, 过), measure words (次, 一), or durations. For example: '加了冕' (crowned), '加过冕' (crowned before), '加过一次冕' (crowned once). When a specific person is the object, use '为 X 加冕' (crown X), not '加冕 X' directly.
