包容 (bāoróng) has two related senses: 'to tolerate/forgive' and 'to contain/hold'. In the tolerance sense, it suggests a generous, open-minded acceptance (of different views or mistakes), stronger and more positive than 容忍 (rěnshòu 'endure') and broader than 原谅 (yuánliàng 'forgive a specific fault').
