Definition
变迁 (biàn qiān) describes gradual, large-scale shifts over time — for society, culture, or an era. Unlike 变动 (short-term fluctuations in plans or data) or 变换 (actively switching between options), 变迁 emphasizes slow, impersonal change. 历经 means 'to experience or go through' changes, not the changes themselves.
