口味 (kǒuwèi) refers both to the literal flavor of food and to a person's subjective taste or preference (in food, art, etc.). It overlaps with 味道 (wèidào, 'taste/flavor'), but 味道 is more concrete (the actual flavor) and less often used for personal preference. Unlike 口感 (kǒugǎn, 'mouthfeel'), 口味 focuses on the flavor profile rather than texture.
