同床共枕 is a four-character idiom (chéngyǔ) that literally means 'to share a bed and pillow' and figuratively refers to a very close, intimate relationship — most commonly used for married couples who sleep together and share their lives. It can also be extended to any deeply bonded partnership where people share living space or life circumstances.
