同行 (tóng háng) refers to someone in the same profession or industry — a fellow professional, not necessarily at the same workplace. This contrasts with 同事 (tóng shì), which means a coworker at the same company or office. 同行 is broader: you and a doctor at another hospital are 同行, but not 同事.
