哗 (huā) is a bound form (b.f.) used primarily as an onomatopoeia in compound words to describe the sound of rushing water, rain, or something falling with a swoosh—e.g., 哗哗 (huāhuā, sound of flowing water), 哗啦 (huālā, crash or gush). It is not a standalone verb or noun. Note that the same character has another reading, huá, meaning 'clamor' or 'hubbub' (as in 喧哗), but this row covers only the huā onomatopoeic use.
