Definition
坚实 (jiān shí) describes something solid, firm, and substantial, used for both physical objects (a wall) and abstract concepts (a foundation, friendship). It differs from 坚固 (jiān gù), which stresses sturdiness and durability, and from 扎实 (zhā shi), which emphasizes thoroughness and practical reliability. 雄厚 (xióng hòu) is reserved for abundant resources or strength.
