Definition
声张 means to disclose or make public something that should be kept quiet — often used in negative sentences telling someone not to let a secret out. You'll hear it in warnings like 不要声张 ('don't spread this') or in expressions like 声张出去 ('leak out'). It has a strong connotation of secrecy being broken.
