Definition
大多 (dà duō) is an adverb meaning 'mostly, for the most part' — it's the everyday word used in speech and writing to say most of a group does something. Its close synonym 大都 (dà dū) means the same but sounds slightly more formal and literary. Note that 多数 (duō shù) is a noun meaning 'the majority', not an adverb, so it cannot directly modify a verb phrase.
