Definition
大家 (dàjiā) means 'everyone' and is the most common, neutral word for 'everybody' in everyday Chinese. It is less formal than 各位 (gè wèi), which you use to politely address a group, and more standard than the very colloquial 大伙儿 (dàhuǒr). For daily conversation, 大家 is your safest choice.
