Definition
大白 has two main uses. The most common is as a verb phrase meaning 'to come out into the open' or 'to become clear', especially in the fixed expression 真相大白 (the truth comes out). It can also be a noun meaning 'whitewash' or 'whiting' (a type of plaster used for walls). A third, archaic meaning refers to a kind of wine cup, but that is rarely used today.
