大脑 (dà nǎo) is the formal, anatomical term for the brain as a physical organ (specifically the cerebrum). In everyday speech, 脑子 (nǎo zi) is more common for the organ and also means 'intelligence'; 脑海 (nǎo hǎi) is figurative, meaning 'the mind' as a space for thoughts and memories. 脑袋 (nǎo dai) refers to the head itself, not the brain organ.
