字体 (zìtǐ) refers to the specific style or design of written characters — a font/typeface in digital or print contexts, or a calligraphic style in art. Unlike 文字 (wénzì), which means 'written characters/script' as a system, 字体 focuses on the visual form. It is also distinct from 书法 (shūfǎ), which is the art of calligraphy, and 字迹 (zìjì), which means 'handwriting' or penmanship.
