Definition
安插 means to place someone in a certain position or job, but it often carries a connotation of being done secretly, through connections, or without following normal procedures — like planting a spy or giving a job to a crony. It's different from the neutral 安排 (to arrange) because 安插 implies the person wasn't supposed to be there or was inserted artificially.
