Definition
宗 (zōng) is a formal classifier for cases (legal/medical), transactions, and batches of items. It groups multiple related items into one unit, unlike 桩 (zhuāng) which counts individual matters/events. 批 (pī) is for batches of people or goods, not typically for cases.
