Definition
宠 (chǒng) means to pamper or spoil someone with excessive favor. It's more general than 宠爱 (chǒng ài, dote on with love) and 娇惯 (jiāo guàn, coddle a child), and less extreme than 放纵 (fàng zòng, indulge without restraint). 惯 (guàn) is a colloquial alternative often used as a complement.
