Definition
尽管 (jǐn guǎn) has two uses: (1) as a conjunction meaning 'although, even though' — it is slightly more formal and emphatic than 虽然 (suī rán); (2) as an adverb meaning 'feel free to, go ahead and' — it encourages action without hesitation, more direct and polite than 随便 (suí biàn).
