履历 is a formal noun that refers to your professional background written in document form — a résumé or CV. At HSK 7, you'll also encounter its literary sense of 'personal history' or 'antecedents' (one's background and life experience). It carries a more serious, official tone than 简历 (jiǎnlì, a simpler word for résumé).
