崩 is a verb with several related but distinct meanings. In physical contexts it can mean 'to collapse' (like a mountain or structure) or 'to burst' (like a balloon or dam). It is also used euphemistically for the death of an emperor (驾崩). Colloquially, 崩 can mean 'to shoot (someone) dead' — for example, 把他崩了. The tone is bēng (first tone).
