Definition
强加 means 'to impose' something abstract (ideas, values, rules) onto someone, often unwanted. Unlike 强迫 (compel a person to act) or 强制 (enforce rules by authority), 强加 focuses on forcing an intangible thing onto someone. It also differs from 迫使 (force someone into a situation) by emphasizing the object imposed rather than the coerced action.
