Definition
强迫症 is a clinical term for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), a mental health condition marked by intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviors. In everyday Chinese, people also use it loosely to describe a personality trait of being overly meticulous, perfectionistic, or having a strong need for order — often in a self-deprecating or humorous way, e.g. 我有点强迫症 ('I'm a bit OCD'). The medical and colloquial senses overlap but differ in severity.
