Definition
录用 (lù yòng) means 'to hire (an employee)' or 'to accept (a manuscript) for publication' — it is used from the organization's perspective. Unlike 录取 (lù qǔ), which is for admitting students after exams, or 应聘 (yìng pìn), which is the applicant's action of applying, 录用 is the employer's decision to take someone on or accept a submission.
