Definition
必定 (bì dìng) is an adverb meaning 'definitely, bound to' — it expresses strong certainty or inevitability about a future outcome. It is stronger and more formal than 会 (huì 'likely to'), and more emphatic than 必 (bì), which is often used in set phrases. Unlike 务必 (wù bì 'must'), 必定 is not an imperative; unlike 注定 (zhù dìng 'be destined to'), it does not imply fate.
