Definition
性命 (xìngmìng) refers to one's life as a precious or vulnerable possession — it's used when life is at risk, lost, or sacrificed. It differs from 生命 (shēngmìng), which is the neutral biological fact of being alive, and from 人生 (rénshēng), which means one's lifetime or life experience.
