Definition
总裁 (zǒng cái) is the top executive of a company, equivalent to CEO or company president. Unlike 总统 (zǒng tǒng, head of state) or 校长 (xiào zhǎng, school principal), it is strictly a corporate role. 董事长 (dǒng shì zhǎng) is the board chair, a separate position above the CEO; 主席 (zhǔ xí) is for committees or political bodies.
